Provided below are Web site links that provide additional sources of information.

Optics Education Sites
  • The Fun Science Gallery - features experiments related to optics.
  • Explore Science - contains optics-related material.
  • Practical Holography - An informative site about holography. The site begins with a simple explanation of the concepts involved in creating holograms, and then builds on that information in greater detail.
  • Molecular Expressions Microscopy Primer - An extensive educational site on the topic of microscopy, the use of microscopes and related technologies to explore the universe too small to be seen with the naked eye. Lots of resources and images. A very well done site, and one that is well worth exploring.
  • Laser Teaching Center at Stony Brook University - A facility for hands-on instructional programs in optical physics and technology.
  • University of Illinois Optics - Information on light and optics hosted by the University of Illinois.
  • Project LITE— Project LITE is an undergraduate educational materials development project hosted by Boston University and supported by a grant by the National Science Foundation.
  • The Education Directory - searchable index of post-secondary schools with optics degree programs.

Science Education Sites
